The dual with Lakeland has been moved to a 3 pm start instead of a 2 pm start. Also, the meet Friday at Timberlake is a 2 pm start instead of 230. The schedule below is now correct. Buses will leave tomorrow at 130 from Sr. parking lot. Bus leaves Friday for Timberlake (Varsity only) at 12:30

LC track has a busy week with a dual meet Wednesday at Lakeland and the Kootenai County Challenge on Friday at Timberlake. Our dual meet is a jv/varsity meet, and Friday is varsity only (limited to 4 entries per event).

The Coaches

Kelly Reed

Head Coach/ Girls Sprints-Relays

Coach Reed has been the head track and field coach at Lake City for 18 years, and was an assistant for two years prior to becoming head coach. The Timberwolves have won two state championships, been runner-up three times, and have one third place finish, one fourth place, and one fifth place finish at the state track meet during Coach Reed's tenure.

Heather Harmon-Reed

Distance

Heather has been with the LC track and field program for 17 seasons. She has coached 7 individual state champions, 2 state-runner up finishers, and was a 7-time NJCAA all-American in cross country and track and field while participating for North Idaho College. She is the current womens' record holder for the Coeur d' Alene Half Marathon. Heather has taught at Lake City for 12 years, and was named School District #271 Secondary Educator of the Year in 2012. Heather is also Lake City's head cross country coach, and currently teaches reading and algebra.

Russ Blank

Pole Vault

Coach Blank has been the vault coach at LC since the school opened its doors. He has coached numerous regional champions and state placers, including the 2014 boys state champion, Scott Cummings. Coach Blank vaulted at the University of Montana in the early 60's.

Mr. Carlson

Shotput & Discus

Coach Carlson has been a member of LC track and field staff for nearly a decade. He has produced multiple regional champions and state placers, including Missy Morris, 2011 state champion in the discus, and Quinn Mitchell, the 2015 boys discus state champ. The timberwolf throwers have also accomplished a few "sweeps" at the regional meet, capturing 1st through 3rd place in the discus. Coach Carlson teaches phys. ed at Lakes Middle School.
